What affects a behavior program
- The specific behavior, how long it has been going on and how often it shows up.
- Whether the trainer needs to see your dog first to confirm a stay is a safe fit.
- Program length, which is commonly longer for reactivity than for basic manners.
- How much the stay is built around realistic outings with controlled distractions.
- The amount of owner coaching and follow-up after the dog comes home.

Why owners choose this
One trainer. Your dog. Real results.
We do not refer owners to franchise training chains. In our view, they lean on less experienced staff and indoor facilities instead of real-world training.
Good questions
Before we begin.
Can board and train fix reactivity?
It can reduce it and teach better habits, but no one can promise a cure. The owner has to keep using the plan at home, which is why the handoff matters.
Is a stay safe for a dog that has bitten?
Be honest with the trainer. Many are not a fit for dogs with a bite history, and that is a safety decision. We do not refer for protection work or aggression cures.
Will my dog be anxious away from home?
Some dogs settle in well and some take time. Ask the trainer how they handle the first days and what updates you will receive.
Is a private lesson plan better for behavior?
Sometimes. Lessons keep you in the room and can work well for mild issues. A stay helps when daily practice with one person is the missing piece.
What details should I share with the trainer?
Describe triggers, past incidents, health issues and medications. Complete information helps the trainer choose a safe plan.
